Silent Wednesday s feature “The Sound of Horror” – silent movies that focus on musical accompaniment. Shows start at 8pm, admission $12.

10/7 – “Duel” (w/ Live Score by the Watts Ensemble)

10/14 – “Dewanatron!”: The Eerie Electronic Sounds of the Diabolical Dewans!

Music Thrusdays feature “Slashers!” –  Gore dripping flicks from the hay day of the Hack and Slash genre.  Shows start at 8pm, admission $10.

10/8 – “Sleepaway Camp”

10/15 – “Slumber Party Massacre, Graduation Day, The Redeemer: Son of Satan!” triple feature

Double Feature Fridays feature “The Strange World of Coffin Joe” – Films from Jose Mojica Marins (aka Coffin Joe) hit the screen as a double feature fear fest.  Shows start at 8pm, admission $12.

10/9 – “at Midnight I Will Take Your Soul, this Night I Will Possess Your Corpse” double feature

10/16 – “Damned: The Strange World of Jose’ Mojica Marins, The Strange World of Coffin Joe, Strange Hostel of Naked Pleasures” triple feature

Early Saturdays feature “Technicolor Terror” – Classic films from Britians infamous horror masters, Hammer Films.  If you love the old Gothic style horror of the 50’s and 60’s (like I do!) then this one is truly worth an arm and a leg!  Shows start at 7pm, 8:30pm, admission $12.

10/3 – “The Mystery Of The Wax Museum, Phantom Of The Opera” double feature

10/10 – “Doctor X, Dr. Cyclops” double feature

Late Saturdays feature “HFS: Kung Fu Halloween” – Yeah you read it right, frights and fist a cuffs, Horror Hong Kong style were Dracula shows off his roundhouse and the wolfman his wire-work ferocity.  Shows start at 10pm on 10/3 and 11pm on 10/10, admission $12.

10/3 – “The Boxer’s Omen”

10/10 – “Spooky Encounters”

A lot of this frightastic footage has probably never been seen by American audiences, so if you are not so wow’d by the high budget Hollywood flicks coming your way, check out the Cinefamily Silent Theatre for everything from classic to clownish Halloween delights.

There are a couple of new movies I want to see, but for me, checking out the oldies but gorees are where it’s at for me…
