CUJO Retrospective w/ Dee Wallace, Lewis Teague & Charles Bernstein

January 16, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

In 1983, the growing supernatural cinema of writer Stephen King truly showed its teeth with CUJO, a film that took man’s best friend to new heights of relentless terror. Helmed by “Alligator” director Lewis Teague, given a bravura performance by Dee Wallace as a mother in peril, and played with emotionally symphonic realism and ramping electronic terror, CUJO has stood as one of the best, most suspenseful Stephen King adaptations – not only a favorite of fans, but of the author himself.

Now Intrada Records releases a striking new edition of Charles Bernstein’s score, a longtime genre favorite from the composer behind A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, THE ENTITY, DEADLY FRIEND, and APRIL FOOL’S DAY. Restored to its full, fearsome power, CUJO has never sounded more striking.

To celebrate the music’s truly rabid arrival, Creature Features has convened a salute to CUJO, featuring Dee Wallace, Lewis Teague and Charles Bernstein in person. With highlights of the movie, the star and filmmakers of CUJO will talk about creating one of horror’s most harrowing tales of survival in a panel and question and answer session featuring highlights from the film, moderated by CUJO liner note writer Daniel Schweiger.

The CUJO soundtrack salute takes place at Creature Features in Burbank on Saturday, January 16th from 2:00 – 3:15 PM, and will be limited to 50 people, with purchase of the CUJO CD required for seating. A regular, unlimited signing will be held afterwards with Wallace, Teague and Bernstein. Dee Wallace will also be signing fans’ photos and memorabilia that fans for a separate fee.

Out of town fans can order signed copies of the CUJO CD via http://www.CreatureFeatures.com.
