In 1963, impressionable viewers of Walt Disney’s WONDERFUL WORLD OF COLOR TV series were chilled and thrilled by the 3-Part premiere of THE SCARECROW OF ROMNEY MARSH starring a pre-PRISONER Patrick McGoohan as a humble vicar by day and a terrifying masked rider by night, leading his band of ghoulish rebels against the King’s oppression in 18th century England.
The British production was later recut and released theatrically as DR. SYN, ALIAS THE SCARECROW where it haunted further generations for decades until it’s legendary Disney Treasures DVD release in 2008 where it sold its entire run of 39,500 copies in three weeks!
Join Disney author and historian Jim Fanning for this Halloween treat as he takes an in-depth look at the making of this exciting adventure with rare behind-the-scenes photos, film clips, a display of original memorabilia, and much more.
