Bewitched’s “Esmerelda” goes to the other side

ghostley.jpgAlice Ghostley, best remembered as “good witch” Esmeralda from Bewitched, passed away this past Friday in Studio City.

While her credits and accolades are abundant, including a Tony Award for The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window, Creepy LA would like to highlight the roles that best fit Ms. Ghostley’s beautiful last name.

She appeared in guest starring roles on episodes of The Ghost & Mrs. Muir, Kolchak: The Night Stalker, and more recently in four episodes of the fantasy soap opera Passions. Additional appearances included the TV horror anthologies Ghost Story (episode: “Time of Terror”) and Tales from the Darkside (episode: “Anniversary Dinner”), and as “Granny” in The Addams Family Reunion. (info from IMdB.)

She was 81. CNN has the obit.
