Cal. and down one aisle that had misc. sword, weapons and accessories, the tags where the stuff was hanging said "Boys Costume Accessories". I said to my nephew and loudly "That is sexist, why doesn't it just say "Costume Accessories"? And we proceeded to pick up some swords and have a play sword fight in the aisle. When I was growing up and even now, I would prefer scarey costumes. I don't think the stores should put a label on them as to whether they are fit for a boy or a girl.
