If you missed the Outdoors Club’s “Spooky Halloween Hike” last Sunday, have no fear (or do have fear, actually)…
The Sierra Club hosts after-dark hikes through Griffith Park every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. To partake, just meet up at the upper merry-go-round parking lot at 7pm on any of those evenings (but double check the Sierra Club website first to make sure details haven’t changed.)
On Sunday’s hike, we walked past Forest Lawn Cemetery along our way, and then encountered a half dozen wolves who ran off into Griffith’s dark recesses when they realized they were outnumbered. The hike ended at Amir’s Garden… I was disappointed we didn’t see the infamous picnic table, which I’m pretty sure survived the fire.

I never heard of the Outdoors Club, and sorry I missed the hike! So were they really wolves, not coyotes, or is that the dark side speaking?
Coyotes, wolves, same difference. Both have glowing eyes, sharp teeth, and travel in packs…
