Dia de Los Muertos @ Hollywood Forever

by It Came from New York on November 3, 2008

Hollywood Forever Cemetery held their 9th annual Dia de Los Muertos event on Saturday. Each year it draws larger crowds and this year was no exception, with a few jarring notes of commercialization creeping in around the edges. A Johnny Ramone T-shirt stall boasting of “exclusive merchandise?”

But anyway, it was a unique spectacle that you have to see to believe. Many more photos after the jump…

Dia de Los Muertos is a good one. There is more spirit displayed than Halloween. Thanks for the creepy LA!
