Speaking as someone under 21+, I would take the bit about costumes and covered wrists with a grain of salt (Type O, perhaps?). The Henry Fonda is more than experienced with costumed events of all ages, and their bartenders know how to ask for proper ID or wristbands. Just a few weeks ago they held the Labyrinth of Jareth event, a costumed extravaganza open to all ages! So it all just sounds like these promoters are just being overly cautious. Which I applaud them for. But I'm going to dress to the sixes (feet under) and vampire-proof my wrists for the evening!

Hi,

Thanks for sharing.

You forgot to add that this holiday is for the "kids" in all of us. Who says Halloween is just for kids anymore? Adult costumes are just as big of sellers.
Our work place does have a Halloween party over the lunch break. We have competitions for chili cook off, dessert, pumpkin carving and costumes. Grand Prize: a vacation day. Who wouldn't dress up for that!Check out for all Halloween costumes only at

Hey all,

Just to follow-up on a few points:

* The 70's lesbian vampire flick is THE VELVET VAMPIRE, playing at 7:30 on Saturday the 15th.

* The complete list of panel discussions is on our web site; we've got some really great authors lined up.

* The deal with costumes covering the wrists: because we opened up Vampirella's Ball to 18 and over, our bartenders need to be able to spot the wristbands (or lack of) amongst the crowd. Sorry about that, it's the venue's policy I'm afraid.

* We have finalists competing to be the new VAMPIRELLA! Vote for your favorite on our web site.

We hope to see you all there, it's going to be fangtastic! Get your tickets now at http://www.vampire-con.com
