Knott’s Halloween Haunt designer Brooke Walters gave CreepyLA a preview of her newest maze “Virus Z” in broad daylight. And even without makeup or costumes, the 40 scareactors inside still made it a terrifying vision of a zombie plagued town.
Knotts visitors may be surprised to find that Virus Z goes without the musical soundtrack that become a staple of most mazes, instead relying on sound design throughout, from a PA directing visitors to the virus infected town to seek shelter in a school auditorium, to the slow build of growling zombies surrounding you.
