Hall-o-ween-o-pacalypse! The Week In Creepy Events

If being belted around the mouth (and mouthed around the belt) is your thing, check out SinsCon this weekend.

October arrives a week early this year with the opening of a number of Southern California’s largest Halloween attractions and a cavalcade of other events that will force Halloween fans to make some difficult scheduling choices as they head into the weekend.

Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights and Knott’s Halloween Haunt always top our list of the season’s not to be missed attractions. Both open Friday night and run through October 31st, leaving plenty of time to check them out, but opening weekends usually mean the lightest crowds and the best opportunity to check out the horrifyingly beautiful design work at both parks.

If you’re looking for a reason to dress up, the Rocky Horror Picture Show celebrates its 35th Anniversary with the 7 Deadly Sins O’ The Flesh Convention this weekend in Downtown Los Angeles, with slumber parties, costumes contests, celebrity appearances, all climaxing in a screening of the 1975 classic on Saturday night introduced by star Barry Bostwick. Virgins are invited.

The Halloween Harvest Festival kicks off at Pierce College with pumpkin patches, a corn maze, a haunted house, and plenty of activities for the kids.

For ongoing and new events as they come in, check out our event listings.
