Photo Gallery: Day of the Dead Festival at Hollywood Forever Cemetery

The annual Dia de los Muertos Festival at Hollywood Forever Cemetery is my favorite event of the Halloween. This year, however, the increased crowds made walking around and viewing the myriad of altars, vendors, and art a bit of a hassle, making it less fun than in past years. Perhaps the event is becoming a victim of its own success, or I’m getting old. Regardless, the altars themselves were gorgeous and creative, and the Festival a feast for the eyes and imagination… especially for anyone in for a cultural treat.

Here’s a slideshow of photos I took during the daylight hours.

Did you attend a Day of the Dead event this weekend, or have plans to do so over the next couple days (tomorrow is the actual Dia de los Muertos)?
