13 Days of Creepy Christmas

From Monday, December 13th, all the way til Christmas Day, the naughty kids from GHOULA (the Ghost Hunters of Urban Los Angeles), along with a little help from CreepyLA, are putting together 13 meetups to help you celebrate the season… or escape the holiday hell.

Come check out some L.A.’s creepiness with likeminded fans of ghost stories and the weird. For updates keep an eye here, or at GHOULA’s website.

Monday, December 13th
SPIRITS with SPIRITS: Bowling at the Haunted Pickwick Lanes
Hear the tale of Burbank’s haunted bowling alley, throw back a few drinks, and knock down some pins.

Tuesday, December 14th
Double Feature: “Black Christmas” and “Silent Night, Bloody Night” at New Beverly Cinema
A double dose of holiday horror at one of L.A.’s finest revival houses.

Wednesday, December 15th
Disney Death Day Celebration
Details TBD, but event will be in the Los Angeles area (NOT at Disneyland).

Nihilist Film Festival at Echo Park Film Center
Nothing burns the holiday spirit like nihilism.

Hollywood Forever Cemetery Tour
Celebrate the holidays with Hollywood’s rich and famous, hosted by tour guide Karie Bible.

Local paranormal comics day at Hi-De-Ho Comics
Pick up a copy of GHOULA’s first comic book, meet the artists, and take a peek at their own collections of paranormal themed comics!

Monday, December 20th
Film Radar Field Trip: “Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale”
FilmRadar joins up with CreepyLA and GHOULA to crash a screening of the new Finnish Christmas adventure film that gives a dark spin to the legend of Santa Claus. Join us for a snack before hand across the street at Greenblatt’s Deli.

Tuesday, December 21st
Creepy Christmas Shopping Crawl: Burbank
Wrap up your last minute gift buys as we take a walk from Halloweentown to horror specialty book shop Dark Delicacies.
Meetup 6:30pm at Halloweentown, then at about 7pm we’ll begin the walk to Dark Del’s. Dinner or drink along the way at a location TBD.

Skating at Pershing Square with the Spazmatics!

Thursday, December 23rd
Creepy Christmas Crawl: Hollywood
GHOULA revisits the sites of some of its favorite haunted bars, as Richard Carradine hosting a ghost hop along Hollywood Blvd. with stops including the Roosevelt Hotel Lobby Bar, Snow White Cafe, Musso and Franks, Miceli’s, and ending with agroup photo with Sci-Ty Santa.
7:30pm / Meetup location TBD.

Friday, December 24th
Bob Baker’s Nutcracker
It is strongly recommended your reserve your tickets soon if you’d like to join us in checking out Bob Baker’s legendary marionettes perform the Nutcracker. Also note the early start time!

Saturday, December 25th
Mondo Xmas (featuting The Christmas Martian) at Silent Movie Theater
On Creepy Christmas itself, GHOULA invites you to join them at this infamously haunted theatre for a screening of some twisted holiday short films.
