The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride returns to the Griffith Park once again, this time with a brand new theme focusing on apocalyptic visions of hell, subtitled, Echoes from the Rift. The 25 minute ride circles through the former zoo grounds, now reportedly haunted, featuring epic scenes incorporating dozens of actors that encircle and taunt riders, fantastic stunt work, and elaborate sets.
In addition to the hayride, the event includes several other attractions, all centered around Purgatory, a “haunted village” with vendors, a Theatre of the Macabre stage show featuring scenes from iconic horror films, and performances by the Street Drum Corps. For the kids, the Scary-Go-Round is returning, along with House Of Mirrors and Jack’s Carving Shack where elaborate guests can help carve elaborate pumpkin each evening.
Purgatory will also serve as the entryway to Hayride’s notorious “In-Between Dark Maze,” two new experiences: “House of the Horsemen,” “sending guests face to face with the four Horsemen of The Apocalypse, embodying Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death,” and “a maze where the most depraved and deadly lurk” called the “Seven Sins Sideshow.”
