The Los Angeles County Fair is an essential Fall-in-LA event not to be missed. It runs through next Sunday, September 30th, closing night concert by Earth, Wind & Fire.
It’s vast and you can easily spend an entire day there. You can see (and touch and smell) farm animals, rodeo, a functioning beehive, wedding cakes and gowns, amazing and sometimes kitschy arts and crafts; taste wine, learn how to grow orchids or make pottery or take a cooking class; buy a Jacuzzi or swimming pool or boat or macramé-and-driftwood clock or nail clipper or Mexican Folk Art or fruits, vegetables and PUMPKINS; and eat, eat, eat.
Doesn’t a smoked turkey leg and deep-fried Twinkie with a cold Tecate sound like it would hit the spot right about now?
