Cheap Haunts: Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

Goldstar Events, the discount ticket agency, has discounted tickets ($51 tickets for $34, plus service charge) to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. If you don’t know about Goldstar, and you like to save a buck when you can, then you should check them out. [Creepy just called an even better deal to my narrow attention.]

As of today, their special Halloween category has nine events listed. Expect that number to grow as we creep towards the end of October.

It’s free to join (and you must, to take advantage) and they offer discounted tickets, usually from around 40 to 80 percent off regular prices and sometimes free, to all types of events: concerts, plays, opera, comedy clubs, sports events and more. Thing is, you have to jump on the tickets ASAP because they usually sell quickly for popular events.

And they don’t offer crappy seats. I’ve never been disappointed with the locations I got from them. For example, I recently got two front mezzanine tickets to Avenue Q at the Ahmanson for $34 each, instead of the regular $70, and an $85 main floor ticket to see the Pet Shop Boys at the Wiltern last year for $15.
