A short visit to Universal Hollywood’s Rocky Horror Tribute auditions.
CreepyLA was invited to the last day of Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights open auditions for their Rocky Horror Picture Show where, surprisingly few, if any, men appeared in drag… unless, of course, they were more convincing that your usually hairy sweet transvestite from Transylvania.
Around 100 dancers quickly rehearsed and performed to a clip from “The Time Warp,” hoping to make the final cut for a spot in revue show’s chorus line as a line up of producers took notes and a small gaggle of journalists looked on.
Also on hand was the show’s already casted leads, each an existing Universal Studios cast member. Andy Goldblatt, who will be playing Magenta, performs improv in the windows above the New York Streets set. Janet, known off the lot as Meredith Ostrowsky, can also be seen in the park as Marilyn Monroe herself. And before putting on the stockings and lipstick as Frank N. Furter, Joey Reinert roams the park alongside Scooby-Doo as the soul patched Shaggy.
A few more photos and video after the jump…
Universal Studio’s provided a quick video recap of the proceedings:
