At 57, our favorite Ghost has passed…
The tragic loss of Patrick Swayze hits us hard here at CreepyLA. He was not only a fabulous actor – convincing in every role he chose, but his characters were identifiable and always so human. As Dalton, he roamed through a mansion with a harpoon stabbing thugs left and right – all for love for his friends and the perseverance of good over evil; As Darrel, he put family first and fought side-by-side with his brothers in the pouring rain to rid the streets of the loathsome Socs; In Red Dawn, he lead a band of misfit youngsters in guerilla warfare against a communist threat; and who can forget the glorious role of Bodhi – the ocean-eyed surfer and over all death-defying extremist who, with those eyes, could glamour even the undercover agent sent to infiltrate his unlawful activity? And poor Sam Wheat, who didn’t know just what he had until it slipped through his transparent fingers.
We will remember him for his extraordinary capacity for portraying these badasses, but still, we will always wonder what Total Recall had been like if he had stayed on the project. This Halloween, consider one of the unforgettable Swayze characters as your vessel, and have the time of your life.
Rest in peace Mr. Swayze
