Check out these cool ceramic calaveras! They’re each handcrafted by the Lugo family in Santa Monica and available for purchase at Metropolis Bikes of North Hollywood. They can be mounted right onto your bike’s fork or handlebars, so you can keep your Day of the Dead spirit alive every time you hit the streets for a cruise.
On the Friday before Halloween Metropolis is sponsoring a “Fat Tire Bike Ride,” (although bikes with skinny tires won’t be discriminated against.) The pack will make a circuit of the NoHo/Burbank area, past the historic Bob’s Big Boy restaurant on Riverside as well as other local landmarks, before winding up back at the store for snacks, sociability, and even a prize giveaway by event co-sponsor Schwinn. The fun begins at 7:30 pm on October 28th, and costumes are encouraged!
