According to Richard Carradine of GHOULA, “that the cremated remains of two adults and one child were found in a box in the basement level of the theater.” Their identities have never been discovered.

Carradine points out that the “ominous third balcony” is the hotbed of paranormal activity in this Los Angeles haunted theatre. Even when locked off to the public, dark figures can be seen cavorting about on this level. A woman in a white lacy gown, believed to be a former vaudeville performer, has also been seen pacing the stage.

The Palace was also the first Los Angeles theatre to begin showing movies, and is possible best known as the where theatre Michael Jackson and date Ola Ray are watching “Thriller” in the music video of the same name.
