Online voting has opened to the public in the Universal Halloween Horror Nights Rob Zombie Film Competition. A panel of industry judges led by Rob Zombie himself has narrowed the selection from 200 entries down to just 10 finalists, and now it’s up to you to choose the winning “short scare” films!

Watch the films and make your screams heard from now until September 17, 2010. (One vote per person.)

Prizes for the winning filmmakers include $1,000 cash, a trip for two to opening night of Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights, and the Chiller premiere broadcast of their film. The winner will be announced September 17, and they will be honored at the 2010 Eyegore Awards ceremony — which kicks off this year’s Halloween Horror Nights event (September 24 through October 31) at Universal Studios Hollywood.
