Alice Cooper, the rock legend notorious for a horror themed style and lyrics, will now have his own maze as part of Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights. The attraction, called “Alice Cooper: Welcome to My Nightmare” will promises to feature “guillotine decapitations, electric chairs, a sadistic insane asylum, predatory snake and giant Black Widow spiders” according to a press release.
“We’ll be creating this living horror movie within screaming distance of the sound stages where horror movies first began,” Cooper said.
This is the third new maze announced for Halloween Horror Nights, which has slowly leaked hints and news of its mazes through a Twitter account managed by the seasonal attraction’s creative director John Murdy (@horrornights). In the past few weeks, Murdy revealed that mazes based on the “Hostel” film series and the upcoming remake of “The Thing” would welcome Universal Hollywood visitors this October.
Halloween Horror Nights opens September 23rd, less than two weeks after the anticipated release of “Welcome 2 My Nightmare,” a sequel to his landmark 1975 rock-horror concept album, “Welcome to My Nightmare.”
