The Purge: Breakout attraction touring US, coming to LA in July

m_post_5375861f6eb02Blumhouse Productions, who have created Halloween attractions in downtown LA for the past two years, are hitting the road this summer with “The Purge: Breakout,” an interactive “escape game” where attendees work together to avoid being slaughtered.

“The experience is designed to immerse you in the world of The Purge and challenge your group to solve clues and puzzles in order to escape,” reads a description on the event’s website.

The attraction is part of the heavy promotion behind their upcoming film, “The Purge: Anarchy” being released July 18. The film imagines that to combat crime, the United States has designated one night a year where violence of any sort, including murder, is legal. While most citizens take shelter, others go on killing sprees.

“Breakout” is further described as “like being dropped into a real life video game. In order to successfully proceed through the experience, your group must work together to solve clues and puzzles, unlock mysteries, and confront a variety of physical and mental challenges to escape before Purge Night begins.”

No more than 6 people at a time will participate in the experience, which could take up to 30 minutes, maybe less if they’re able to escape. If not, they’ll be “Purged.”

The Purge: Breakout tour begins May 29th in Atlanta, and will make its final stop in Los Angeles from July 11th tot he 20th. Additional stops will be in Miami, Chicago, Dallas, New York City, and Philadelphia.

Tickets are on sale now, and only $20.
