Michael Jackson was brought here and pronounced dead soon therafter after he was found unresponsive in his nearby home.
Ironically, in 1984 Michael Jackson met President Ronald Reagan years before passing away in the hospital named after Reagan. On May 14, 1984, the then President, and First Lady Nancy Reagan, awarded the singer the Presidential Public Safety Communication Award.
