Since February, we have talked about The Tension Experience. We’ve written articles about them, attended in-person events, and talked for hours about them on the podcast. We knew it was leading…somewhere, but didn’t know exactly what or where. The time has finally come. Details have just been announced about an event taking place during September. Below is the description from the ticket link.
We welcome you to enter the doors of the O.O.A. Institute, a mysterious organization that promises enlightenment, but at what cost? Nothing is quite what it seems and something sinister lurks beneath every inviting smile…
Participants deemed worthy enough to be permitted inside will discover fervent disciples, tasks that probe and chronicle the darkest recesses of their mind, and, sometimes, unexplainable terror.
Individual decisions will reveal whether this is a true path to enlightenment or merely an elaborate trap set by a dangerous cult.
Ascension is more than immersive theatre, more than a haunted house, more than anything you could imagine. It is a journey into darkness with the possibility of being reborn in the light.
You will be processed, tried and tested.
But only if you succeed, may you find…

WOW! Because of what has happened to me and others over the last 5 months, I was already planning to buy a ticket. After reading that description though…I am even more excited than I thought I ever could be. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for all of us!! Also, up to 3 hours long?? Bring it on!
The Tension Experience: Ascension starts Thursday, September 8th and runs Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights through October 2nd. Dates are now on the Los Angeles Haunt Calendar.
