Voting for the second annual CreepyLA Cadavers – Southern California Haunted Attraction Awards has just completed, and we’re eager to announce the results! This Thursday, we’ll reveal the winners of the best pro and home haunts in the Los Angeles area, as well as best Halloween themed theatrical production, kid friendly event, horror themed escape room, and additional awards for best scare acting, production design, and more.
This year we’re also debuting an award for best Scream Park Maze. As a teaser, here are the top six contenders:
- Freddy vs. Jason (Halloween Horror Nights)
- Halloween (Halloween Horror Nights)
- Krampus (Halloween Horror Nights)
- Paranormal, Inc. (Knotts Scary Farm)
- Shadowlands (Knotts Scary Farm)
- Lullaby (Queen Mary Dark Harbor)
Dozens of fans and genre journalists and reviewers participated in this year’s voting, including writers from the following outlets: Sinful Celluloid, Horrorbuzz, Gaming Shogun, Dread Central, Westcoaster, HalloweenEveryNight.com, Haunted Attraction Network, Golden State Haunts, We Are Indie Horror, Nightmarish Conjurings, Spooky Little Girl, Jill Kill, All Hallows’ Haunts, ScareZone.com and Morbidly Beautiful.
Below is a look at the remaining award titles and nominees — in order to be eligible, attractions needed to have a minimum number of voters who attended. Winners are determined by voter ratings. This system is intended to avoid “vote stuffing” and allow lesser attended attractions to be graded fairly against better attended events.
