The singing voice of Jack Skellington himself (and lead singer from a little old band called Oingo Boingo) will be performing his music from the films of Tim Burton this Halloween night at the Nokia Theatre in downtown LA. Tickets officially don’t go on sale until Friday the 13th, but the pre-sale is on now, we have the secret code to get you in the door.
Ticket link here, and use code NIGHTMARE… lots of good seats left, from $45 loge seats up to $125 “so close Danny Elfman might accidentally drool on you” orchestra seats.
Elfman’s collaboration with Tim Burton began in 1985 with the soundtrack for “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure,” and continued with iconic scores of over a dozen films directed by Burton including “Beetlejuice,” “Batman,” and, of course, “Nightmare Before Christmas.”
As NBC LA notes, this will be Elfman’s first live US performance in 18 years, which is a bit surprising as many life long Angelenos recall Oingo Boingo concerts as a staple of every Halloween season during their formative years.
