We’ve seen a bunch of great shows at Hollywood’s Steve Allen Theater — everything from Jeffrey Combs’ heartwrenching performance as Edgar Allan Poe to the grisly hilarity of the REANIMATOR musical; Rob Zabrecky’s magic and so much more. But now it’s time to say goodbye to this great venue, which closes at the end of this month.
There are still a few wonderful shows left at the Steve Allen before it’s torn down for yet more condos (can’t have too many, you know!)…
They’ve got Puddles the Singing Clown, the original Firesign Theatre, and plenty of other great performers and performances left. Go!
It’s the end of the Steve Allen, but not of Trepany House! We invite you — no, we urge you — to visit their website and stay posted on their upcoming plans. And maybe if we all pull together, Amit Itelman — the brilliant mind behind Trepany House — will be able to put his dream project, “Brides of Blood,” on stage somewhere soon.
Farewell, Steve Allen Theater — and au revoir, Trepany House…
