As previously reported on CreepyLA, Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights will feature “Welcome To My Nightmare,” a new maze based on the music of Alice Cooper. Now, take a peek at some character concept art provided exclusively to CreepyLA.
Above is the Black Widow Throne, a reference to Cooper’s song “The Black Widow,” a character he sings is “the unholiest of kings:”
He sits upon this throne and picks at all the bones of his husbands and his wives he’s devoured
He stares with a gleam with a laugh so obscene at the virgins and the children he’s deflowered
At right is “Headless Alice,” apparently a companion piece to the previous released image of “Executioner Alice” which shows Cooper holding up his own head. (Cooper’s self decapitation happens quite regularly in his stage shows.)
According to Horror Nights creative director John Murdy, Cooper is helping produce the maze, which is about a boy’s nightmare where Cooper’s “most famous songs, bizarre themes and demented characters collide inside a living horror movie.”
Visitors to the “Welcome To My Nightmare” maze will encounter “guillotine decapitations, electric chairs, a sadistic insane asylum, predatory snake and giant Black Widow spiders,” along with a matching soundtrack.
Halloween Horror Nights opens September 23 and continues on September 24, 30; October 1,7, 8,9, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31. Click here for more info.
