The old cages and former sanctuaries of the old Los Angeles zoo are all that remain, providing one of the creepiest and coolest picnic spots in all of Los Angeles.

The grounds have been used as a frequent filming location, for movies including Police Academy 2 and Anchorman: the Legend of Ron Burgundy. While accessible to public, the old zoo is closed off most of October while its used for the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride.
